In honor of our 10th Anniversary, we have the opportunity to celebrate Jack Neis. Jack was the Lift’s first sustaining donor, making his first monthly gift in April 2015 and is still giving monthly today, nearly 10 years later!
Why do you donate to The Lift?
I donated initially because I was invested. I am proud to be a donor.
Do you remember what prompted you to become a monthly sustaining donor?
Monthly donations are automatic and convenient. There was never a consideration to not be a regular donor.
Was there a time in your life when you needed a car repair and you didn’t know how you were going to pay for it?
After moving to Minnesota, my car needed a $250 repair. I had to ask my mom for help. It did not go well.
What are three words you would use to describe The Lift?
It’s freaking GREAT!
What was your first car?
1949 Pontiac 2 door city coupe. Flat head 6. Second year of Hydra-matic transmission. Fake white walls. Visor over the windshield. Homemade dual exhausts. 0 to 60 in less than an hour!
Many thanks to Jack for his generous monthly support! If you’d like to join Jack as a sustaining monthly donor or update your existing monthly gift, you can do so online at: theliftgarage.org/sustaining.
