Community Resources in Minneapolis
At The Lift Garage, we work hard to connect customers to resources and strengthen their support network in Minneapolis and greater Minnesota. Below are some examples of the resources available to our community.
Resource Guide
If you need assistance provided in a language other than English, our staff will utilize a translator through the Language Line. Please let us know what language you need.
We often have free car care kits available in our lobby for customers to take. These thoughtful kits are stocked with helpful items in case of an emergency, including jumper cables.
We work with churches and other nonprofits who have additional funding available to clients for car repair. Sometimes these organizations have different eligibility requirements then The Lift’s.
We partner with the Environmental Initiative’s Project CAR program which provides financial support for certain emissions-based car repairs.
Hour Car Access Plus is an income-based membership to car sharing in the Twin Cities.
The Handbook of the Streets is available in our shop lobby to customers as needed. This guide is available thanks to Agate Housing and Services, and provides helpful information on local resources for those experiencing homelessness. The guide is also available to download online by clicking here.
If you are in need of a resource that you don’t see here, please ask. We will try our best to help you.
