From theaters to business hubs\, sports complexes to engineering wonders\, Doors Open Minneapolis will give you a FREE behind-the-scenes look at dozens of exciting venues. \nOn Saturday\, May 9\, 2026\, grab your friends and head over to 2401 E Lake Street to see the inner workings of our shop. You’ll get to see what it looks like underneath a car\, interact with car parts\, identify repair tools\, and play trivia to win car maintenance-themed prizes! \nFor more information go to: https://www.doorsopenminneapolis.org/ \nYou are welcome to park in the Allina Clinic lot behind The Lift (3024 Snelling Ave). If you need accessible parking\, we have two spaces available in our lot. \nLove what you see and want to make a gift? We’d invite you to do so! We depend on neighbors like you to keep low-cost car repair available. You can make a gift here. \nVolunteer at The Lift During Doors Open\nWe need volunteers to help give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the important work The Lift does to keep our neighbors safer on the roads! We’ll provide training and talking points\, you just need to bring your love for The Lift! We are open to the public on Saturday\, May 9th from 10 am – 5 pm. \nVolunteers will: \n\nWelcome visitors and answer questions\nHost trivia and voting activities in the conference room\nGive tours and assist technicians in the shop with car part identification\n\nA FAQ guide will be provided for volunteers to help answer questions.
